  • The Riverview1, Vendor1, Beauty1 files in this module need to be created in order to do Access Module2, Access Module3, and Access Module 4.
  • Look at the schedule below, **DO NOT** miss class for any assessment.

LESSON OBJECTIVES

WATCH THE FOLLOWING VIDEOS provided by GCFLearnFree.org

  1. In Google Drive,
    • create a folder for CS151-##,
    • open the CS151 folder, create the following subfolder
      • Access Module 1

Accessing Student Data Files (On Campus)

  • The following files are used for DEMONSTRATION only
  • FILES are located in the CS151 FOLDER.
    • FOLDER 1: CS151\Access\
      • DRAG Access1 folder to your folder on the Desktop

LESSON OBJECTIVES

  1. SLO - Microsoft Access: Module 1
    • Demonstrate creating a Table Object using the Table button.

ACCESS PROJECTS- (To be graded in class)

    1. PRACTICE: Page AC 8 ~ 30
      • Create a new blank database named Riverview1 (followed your initials)
      • and inside the database Create a Table Object saved as Visit
    2. Page AC45 - Review Assignment (#1 - 7)
      • Create a new blank database named Vendor1 (followed your initials)
      • and inside the database Create a Table Object saved as Supplier
    3. Page AC46 - Case Problem 1 (#1 - 7)
      • Create a new blank database named Beauty1 (followed by your initials)
      • and inside the database Create a Table Object saved as Option

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. CALL INSTRUCTOR for grading.
  2. CLOSE the files.
  3. DRAG the 3 files (Riverview1, Vendor1, Beauty1) to your Google Drive CS151/Access Module 1 folder.
  4. SHARE your CS151/Access Module 1 folder with me.
    • Right-click on the Access Module 1 folder
    • click Share
    • enter my email address: yvonne.flores@guamcc.edu
  5. Look at the board to see if your email is in my Inbox.

Accessing Student Data Files (On / Off-Campus)

  1. Log in to your Email, go to your Google Drive.
  2. DOWNLOAD
    • Riverview1, Vendor1, Beauty1 from the previous lesson
    • to your folder on the Desktop.
  3. RENAME
    • Riverview1 to Riverview2
    • Vendor1 to Vendor2
    • Beauty1 to Beauty2

  1. Delete everything in the Downloads folder.
  2. ** ASSESSMENT** - Create a Database and Table Objects (See Instructor for handout).

  4. DRAG the Condo Rentals file to your Google Drive Access Assessment folder.
  5. SHARE your Access Assessment folder with me.
    • Right-click on the Access Assessment folder
    • click Share

  6. Look at the board to see if your email is in my Inbox.
  7. Delete your folder, Empty your Recycle Bin

    • Log in using your guamcc email address.
    • Right-click to Download each file.(The files are downloaded to the Downloads folder.)
    • Open the Downloads folder, Drag the 2 files to your folder.
